Samantha “Sam” Bateman holds up the fleece jacket the Long Lake Town Board gave her Dec. 28 in recognition of the 2011 Good Neighbor Tip of the Cap award given her by Central Adirondack Partnership for the 21st Century. Tip of the Cap awards recognize business leaders, community organizations and good neighbors who have made a special contribution to their community. Bateman raised funds and worked on the garden and grounds at Long Lake Medical Building.
