Local emergency rescue teams practiced flat ice rescue on Lake Pleasant Saturday, Jan. 14, at the inlet that flows under the bridge on State Route 8. The training allows personnel to become familiar with cold-water rescue equipment and techniques. Participants came from several different agencies, including the Speculator, Piseco and Wells volunteer ambulance corps; Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office; and Search And Rescue of the Southern Adirondacks.
