New medical provider named at Speculator Primary Care

SPECULATOR - Peter A. Scarpelli, a board-certified physician assistant, will begin seeing patients Monday, Feb. 6, at Speculator Primary Care Center. The Twigs will hold a reception for him Monday from 4-6 p.m. at the health center. Everyone is invited.

“I want to thank Nathan Littauer Hospital and the people of southern Hamilton County for this opportunity,” Scarpelli says. “My heart belongs in the Adirondacks and with the people who live here.”

Scarpelli began his career in 1987 working in a cardiology practice in Pennsylvania. He then found his way to the Saranac-Lake Placid region where he has practiced since 1989. He has extensive experience in providing primary care as well as urgent and emergency care.

Scarpelli holds a bachelor of science degree in physician assistant studies from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, as well as a bachelor of science in biology from William Paterson College in Wayne, N.J.
