Long Lake council organizes for 2013

LONG LAKE - The Long Lake Town Board passed 55 resolutions when it held this year’s Organizational Meeting Jan. 30.

Regular meetings of the Town Board will be held the last Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. except for the last meeting in November, which will be held Tuesday, Nov. 26, and the last meeting in December, which will be held Monday, Dec. 23.

Michele Hoffman and Abbie Verner were appointed deputy town clerks, Dixie Lee LeBlanc registrar of vital statistics and Cynthia Thompson deputy registrar of vital statistics. The town supervisor is the chief fiscal officer and budget officer for 2013.

Tina Burnett was appointed justice clerk and Murray Lamphear deputy highway superintendent.

Cynthia Thompson was appointed deputy supervisor and confidential secretary / bookkeeper and Jennifer Crim confidential secretary. Both were appointed as bookkeepers to the highway superintendent and for water districts 1 and 2.

Jeanne F. Plumley was named town historian for Long Lake and James Kammer town historian for Raquette Lake. Donald Hoffman is the dog control officer with Dixie Lee LeBlanc as his deputy.

Dr. Russell E. Rider is the town’s health officer and chief executive officer of the town’s Board of Health.

Attorneys Carl T. Ferrentino, Albany, and Karen Martell of Lemery Greisler LLC, Saratoga Springs, were named attorneys to the town.

John Deming of Adirondack Professional Services, Elizabethtown, was appointed town surveyor. Thomas Suozzoi of Cedarwood Engineering, North Creek, was appointed town engineer.

Jane Bissell, M. John Hosley and Captain Dean Pohl were appointed marriage officers for the town. Bruce Jennings is the custodian of Long Lake Cemetery.
