SPECULATOR - A mayor and two trustees will be elected to the Village of Speculator Board of Trustees Tuesday, March 19. The poll will be open from 12-9 p.m. at the "new" Village Hall at 2875 State Route 8.

The seats held by Mayor Letty Rudes and trustees Cheryl Paestella and Karen McComb are up for election. No one has filed a petition to run against them. All three positions are two-year terms.

PAESTELLA, 51, has been a village trustee since February 2006. She is a graduate of Fulton-Montgomery Community College, Johnstown.

The County of Hamilton employs Paestella as deputy clerk of the Board of Supervisors. She is also chairman of the local Revitalization Committee.

McCOMB was first elected as a trustee in 2011. She is a consultant pharmacist for CDPHP.

She has also worked on the faculty at Albany College of Pharmacy and as a research biologist with Sterling Winthrop Research Institute.

She is a member of the Twigs, Lake Pleasant Library and Southern Adirondack Library System boards of trustees; Friends of Lake Pleasant Library; the historical society; and the Fourth of July Parade Committee.

She and her husband, David, own and operate McComb's Oak Hill Farm on Elm Lake Road.
