Thursday, April 04, 2013 - Updated: 3:57 PM

JOHNSTOWN - Assemblyman Marc W. Butler (R-Newport) and New York state Rifle and Pistol Association President and NRA board member Tom King will host the third in a series of informational sessions on the state's new gun control law Wednesday, April 10, at 6:30 p.m. at the Pine Tree Rifle Club, 419 Johnson Ave., Johnstown.

The event is designed to inform the public about the new law in an effort to prevent accidental non-compliance. It is free and open to the public.

Room capacity is limited to 300; guests should plan to arrive early to ensure admittance.

Additionally, Butler will seek input and support for repeal of the gun control law. He is planning future events for St. Lawrence and Hamilton counties.
