OLD FORGE -- More than 200 artists from around the region have submitted artwork for the 63rd Annual Central Adirondack Art Show at View. The exhibition runs through June 22.

The Central Adirondack Art Show is known for its wide variety of fine arts including acrylics, oils, watercolors, drawings, photography, pastels, graphics, mixed media and sculpture. The exhibition dates back to 1952, when artwork was displayed on chicken wire in Miriam Kashiwa's yard. It has grown into an impressive exhibition that amasses high quality work from the region.

In addition to the Central Adirondack Art Show, an exhibit of handmade books and metal wall sculpture from artist Patrick Kinz-Thompson, titled "Indite/Inditement," runs through June 15. Kinz-Thompson, of Rochester, graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in metalcrafts and jewelry from RIT's School for American Crafts.

View is a non-profit multi-arts center located at 3273 Route 28 in Old Forge. To learn more about View and to see its schedule of events visit www.ViewArts.org or call (315) 369-6411 x201.
