Sporting items are sought for exhibit

WELLS - Wells Historical Society is seeking hunting, fishing and trapping items and memorabilia for a special display this year at Wells Museum.

Anyone who would like to loan the museum item(s) including photos, caps, patches, old licenses, equipment etc. is asked to respond by the weekend of May 19-20. Call Jean Frederick at (518) 924-9296 for help bringing articles to the museum.

The Wells Museum will open for the 2012 season Saturday, May 26, from to 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Located at 1431 State Route 30, the museum is open Saturdays during May and June from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. During July and August it is open Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

St. William’s needs help on work days

RAQUETTE LAKE - Volunteer Days have been scheduled for May 19 and June 16 at St. William’s at Long Point here.

Come get acquainted with the historical site and do some volunteer work. Meet at the village dock at 10 a.m. for a boat ride to the site.
