Saturday, May 18, 2013 - Updated: 10:13 PM

SARANAC LAKE - Area residents can get ready to smile brightly as the Adirondack Health Mobile Dental Clinic hits the road for the summer.

Among other places, the Mobile Dental Clinic will be traveling to Long Lake and Tupper Lake.

The dental "clinic on wheels" serves residents ages 3 and older in outlying communities where limited resources and travel are obstacles to receiving timely dental care.

The Mobile Dental Clinic is certified to provide dental care by the New York State Department of Health. Most insurance plans are accepted, including Medicaid. Self-pay patients are welcome as well.

The Mobile Dental Clinic operates from May through October, with care provided on a shared basis by Adirondack Health dentists Peter Rosenberger and Alphonso Edgecombe.

The Mobile Dental Clinic will see patients at Geiger Arena in Long Lake from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 17, July 22, Aug. 12, Sept. 23 and Oct. 7. It will see patients at 17 Demars Blvd. (Municipal Park) in Tupper Lake from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 23 and 24; June 3, 4, 13 and 20; July 25 and 26; Aug. 5, 6, 19, 20 and 30; Sept. 16, 17 and 30; and Oct. 4, 17 and 18.
