LONG LAKE - The Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney Long Lake Public Library here is seeking entries for its Edible Book Fair Wednesday, July 17.

Entries can look like a book, be inspired by a book or author, be a pun on a book's title, celebrate a book's character or resemble a book's cover. Entries must be entirely edible.

Bring entries to the town hall at 4:30 p.m. along with a copy of the book that inspired the entry, or a photocopy of its cover. Entrants may bring more than one entry, but only one per entrant will be judged.

There will be prizes in six categories: Most Visually Appealing, Punniest, Creative, Best Depiction, Appetizing and Adirondack; plus Peoples' Choice.

First prizes are $50, second prizes are $20 and third prizes are $15 plus $25 for Peoples' Choice.
