WELLS - The Wells Central School District Board of Education has unanimously appointed Jeremy Siddon to a three-year probationary term as 11-month building principal, a new position. Siddon will also be the school’s athletic director.

An ad hoc interview committee narrowed the field of five candidates to three. The committee consisted of Steve O'Connor, Jeremy Bornt, Ed Pruden, Kathy Wilt and Michelle Barrows.

The BOE participated in a second interview with the remaining three candidates during an executive session before choosing a finalist.

Siddon spent the last six years at Massena Central School District in Massena. The first three years he taught social studies in grades 6-8 and the last three years he has been an administrator at the Massena Alternative School, most recently as principal.

He holds a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Potsdam in History and Secondary Education Social Studies, a master's degree in Educational Leadership from The University of New England, and a second master's from Canisius College in School Administration Supervision.
