BOE member will chosen by write-ins

Wednesday, July 31, 2013 - Updated: 4:23 PM

LONG LAKE - Long Lake Central School District will hold a special election next week, but no one is on the ballot.

The election is to replace Board of Education member Kristen Brosnan, who has resigned because she is moving closer to her work in Niskayuna. No one filed a petition to run for the seat, so the person receiving the most write-in votes will fill it.

The election will be Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 2-8 p.m. in the school cafeteria. The winner will fill the vacancy through June 30, 2014.
