Wells Wesleyan Church, St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church and Wells United Methodist Church held their annual community Vacation Bible School the week of Aug. 11. Forty-five children participated in "Paul's Dangerous Journey to Athens!" As a part of the program the children are made aware of needs somewhere in the world and asked to help out. This year they chose to do something close to home and raise awareness of the needy in the community by supporting the Wells Community Food Pantry. The children collected 259 pounds of food and $103.94 in cash, surpassing their goals of 200 pounds of food and $100 in cash to help meet the needs of folks in the area.
