Learn about the Yellow Dot Program

Sunday, September 08, 2013 - Updated: 7:54 PM

PISECO - Sheriff Karl Abrams will talk about the Yellow Dot Program and others offered by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office at Piseco Community Hall here Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m.

Spread the word; anyone who drives should know about the Yellow Dot Program. It saves lives.

Yellow Dot is a free program designed to help first responders provide life-saving medical attention during that first "golden hour" after a crash or other emergency. A Yellow Dot in the driver's-side rear window of a vehicle alerts first responders that medical information is stored in the glove compartment.

Take home a yellow dot kit for each vehicle. Follow the directions and rest assured that in the event of an accident, the Yellow Dot Program would inform emergency crews so they can help to the best of their abilities.

This is also a good opportunity to ask questions about the sheriff's office. Refreshments will be served.

Piseco Community Hall is on the eastern end of Old Piseco Road.
