Inlet adopts a budget

INLET - The Town of Inlet Budget for 2014 was adopted by the Inlet Town Board when it met Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Salary increases are limited to 1.7 percent.

The total for the General Fund will rise from $1,162,776 in 2013 to $1,184,130 in 2014, an increase of $21,354 or 1.84 percent.

The total for the Highway Fund will increase from $252,160 in 2013 to $256,266 in 2014, up $4,106 or 1.63 percent.

The total for the fire / ambulance contract is scheduled to increase from $111,030 in 2013 to $113,030 in 2014, up $2,000 or 1.8 percent.

The increase in the tax levy for 2014 is $27,460, rising from $1,525,966 in 2013 to $1,553,426 in 2014 or by 1.799 percent.

The estimated tax rate for 2014 is $5.54, up nine cents or 1.65 percent per $1,000 of assessed value.
