On Dec. 17, the Kiwanis Club of the Central Adirondacks, in cooperation with Bob Card and Helen Zyma of the Strand Theater in Old Forge, sponsored their annual free Bob Thayer Memorial Holiday Movie for Kids. Nearly 200 children and adults attended the free event. The film was “Alvin and The Chipmunks: Chipwecked.” Helping to liven up the holidays with a free movie and other delights for the young and old alike were (l-r) Kiwanis Past-President and Project Chairman Jim Connerty, current Kiwanis President Carolyn Trimbach, Mrs. Santa (Martha Denio), Santa (Danny Roberts) and Loretta Thayer at the free movie.
