INDIAN LAKE - The Indian Lake Chamber of Commerce has announced the winners of the 5th Annual “Let There Be Lights” Holiday Lighting and Decorating Contest. The 2011 contest winners are as follows.

BUSINESS: first, Prospect Point Cottages, Blue Mountain Lake; second, Dave Ameden Floor Care, 168 Chamberlain Road; and third, Pines Country Store, Routes 28/30.

RESIDENTIAL: first, 6669 East Main Street; second, 163 Chamberlain Road; and third, 105 Tower Hill Road.

ORGANIZATION: first, North Country Crafters, Byron Park; second, Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts, Blue Mountain Lake; and third, Indian Lake Theater.

Contest objectives were to enhance community pride and holiday spirit, help kick-off the winter holiday season and promote a festive atmosphere.

Sponsors were Gadway Realty; Indian Lake Marina; Indian Lake Restaurant, Tavern and Liquor Store; Pines Country Store; Stewart’s Shops and two anonymous businesses. First place winners received $150, second place winners $100 and third place winners $75.

The 14th Annual Indian Lake Country Christmas Tour was Nov. 26 and 27. The chamber thanks the teams of contest judges and the 40 additional applicants for their participation in this year’s program.
