Anne Theresa Begeal

Anne Theresa Begeal, 56, of Northville, NY passed away peacefully after a long, courageous battle with cancer.  She is survived by her husband, Randy, and her two sons, Brady and Matthew. Also surviving is brother, Paul Sirtoli (Joanne), brother, John Sirtoli (Eileen), sister, Rose Haak, stepchildren, Casey Russom (Marcie) and Katie Guthienz (Rick), and step-grandchildren, Landon and Molly Russom. Anne was predeceased by brother, John I, and her parents Mary and Angelo Sirtoli.
Anne got her bachelors degree from SUNY Geneseo and her masters at The College of St. Rose. She worked as a speech and language pathologist with several school districts and BOCES, and most recently conducted home-based, early intervention speech therapy in Fulton and Hamilton Counties. However, if you were to have asked Anne what her “job” was, she would tell you it was being “Mom.”
Anne loved the outdoors and enjoyed cross-country and alpine skiing, biking, hiking and camping. Anne was a ski patroller for several years at Royal Mountain ski center in Caroga Lake and was also a ski instructor at Oak Mountain ski center in Speculator. Anne cared very much about her family and looked forward to family reunions each year. She enjoyed watching her sons play in their many sporting events and would travel to nearly every game.
She also enjoyed travelling with her family, especially on vacations where she could enjoy a warm beach and the ocean.
Calling hours were held on Friday, January 20th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Northville Funeral Home.  
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, January 21 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi church in Northville, NY.

Margaret “Mary” M. Parker
January 9, 2012


Margaret “Mary” M. Parker, age 68, of Crow Hill Road, Indian Lake, passed away peacefully Monday evening, January 9, 2012 at Glens Falls Hospital surrounded by family and friends.
Born on January 9, 1944 in Indian Lake, she was the daughter of Roy S. and Gladys (Tracy) Hunt. She was a 1962 graduate of Indian Lake Central School.
She married James H. Parker on November 16, 1963 in Indian Lake. James died on October 5, 1989 following 25 years of marriage.
Mary worked at Blue Mountain Design for over 20 years prior to retirement in 2004.
Mary was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church where she had also taught Sunday school.
She enjoyed shopping on QVC, jewelry, ceramics and spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, James Parker and a brother, John P. Hunt.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Walters and her husband Bill of Indian Lake; one son, Donald Parker and his wife Tina of Clifton Park; a sister, Helen J. Eldridge and her husband Bob of Indian Lake; her grandchildren Chelsea Walters and Billy Walters, whom she adored and had cherished the bond they had developed from taking care of each other the past several years, and Jessie Penny; two step-grandchildren, Jamie Umstead and Eric Umstead; three step great grandchildren; her nieces and nephews, Margaret Griffin and her husband Jay, Phillip Eldridge and his wife Susan, Tracy Eldridge and his wife Araina.
Calling hours were at Miller Funeral Home, Indian Lake
A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church,Indian Lake, with the Rev. Philip Allen, pastor, presiding.
The Rite of Committal followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery,Indian Lake.
