Thom Buford Ross, age 22, died unexpectedly in the early hours of Saturday March 30, 2013 in a single car accident in the Town of Long Lake, NY.
He was born in Saranac Lake, NY, on November 30, 1990, to Clifford and Shawnee Ross. Thom was a loving brother to Courtney of Baldwinsville, NY; Erin of Syracuse, NY; Erica (Tim) of Verona, NY; and Kip of Baldwinsville, NY.  Thom was also an adoring uncle to Alyssa, Caden and Gabriel. He also leaves behind numerous close friends, most importantly “Opie,” his partner in crime since birth.  Pre-deceased by grandparents John and Alice Grenier; Richard Fitzsimmons; and Anthony & Edith Ross, Ron Wallace uncle, Kelly Barton aunt and two cousins.
Thom attended Long Lake Central School and Mohawk Valley Community College where he excelled in soccer.  Thom was very passionate about sports starting at an early age with Tupper Lake Hockey and continuing with soccer throughout his school career. Thom was also active in the Long Lake Volunteer Fire Dept. He resided in the Town of Long Lake and was a full-time employee of Barton Mines.
Services were held Tuesday, April 2 from 11-2 PM at St Henry’s Catholic Church, Long Lake, NY, followed by burial at Long Lake Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Long Lake Fire Department.
Thom lived large, laughed loud and loved deeply.
Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow.
