Annie Margaret Parker-Smith, 99, formerly of Long Lake, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Pine Harbor nursing facility in Plattsburgh.
Born September 8, 1913 in Troy, N.C. she was the daughter of Percy and Margaret Nordan. She was raised in North Carolina and came to Long Lake in the 1940s.
She was married to Lawrence Parker, who pre-deceased her in 1973. In 1977 she married Ralph Smith, who died in 1988. In the 1970s, she worked at Long Lake Central School in the cafeteria, but was primarily a homemaker most of her life.
She is survived by three sons, Gerald and his wife Loretta of White River Jct., Vt., Larrie of Norfolk, NY, and Gary and his wife Carol of Albuquerque, N.M; three stepdaughters, Marge, Joy and Jewel; 21 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husbands, son Rowley, stepson Paul and daughter-in-law Diane.
Calling hours were scheduled for Sunday, April 28, at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough funeral home in Tupper Lake. A funeral service was held Monday at the Wesleyan Church in Long Lake.
