Gary Lawrence O’Rourke

Gary O’Rourke of Lake Pleasant passed away on May 1, 2011 at the age of 61.
Gary was born on February 26, 1950 in Glen Cove, NY.  
He moved to Lake Pleasant in 1964 where he later raised his family, established a successful contracting business and served the town of Lake Pleasant as a councilman and deputy supervisor.  
He was an active member of the Republican Party representing Hamilton County and served on numerous committees to enrich the local community.
Gary lived his life to the fullest as a loving husband, father, friend and grandfather “Ray Ray Truck.”  He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying his time golfing with friends, boating, skiing and hunting.
Gary is survived by his girls – wife of 35 years, Deborah O’Rourke, his daughters Megan Finn and Katelyn Castellano and his granddaughter “Grampy’s Girl” Madison Finn.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 6, at St. James Catholic Church in Lake Pleasant with the burial immediately following at Airdville Cemetery.  
Calling hours will be held at the Northville Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 5.
