Stella H. Andrews
January 5, 2012
Stella Haponski Andrews died Monday, January 5, 2012 at Woodland Terrace Nursing Home in Hernando, FL. She was 93.
Mrs. Andrews was born July 5, 1918 in Herkimer NY, the daughter of Antoni and Sophia Haponski. In her teen years, she moved to Gloversville, NY and met her future husband, Navy Fireman First Class Roy L. Andrews at a dance. The two were married on February 6, 1937, and resided on the Willy Road just outside of the Gloversville town line. Mrs. Andrews worked at the Gloversville Knitting Mill and Grandoe Gloves while studying Floral Design. She was then employed at Roy’s Greenhouse until her retirement. The couple then summered on the St. Lawrence River and wintered in Hernando, FL until Mr. Andrews death in 1982.
Mrs. Andrews was a member of First Methodist Church at Bleeker Square in Gloversville, and a weekly volunteer at the Key Store Thrift Store in Hernando, FL. She was an avid gardener, and enjoyed fishing, camping and cooking as well as playing cards, traveling, and visiting relatives and friends.
Mrs. Andrews is survived by her beloved companion of 20+ years, Dr. Harold Martin of Mayfield, Johnstown, NY and Hernando, FL and her only child, Shirley Andrews Smith (Collie) of Speculator, NY;  three grandchildren: Susan Winchell-Sweeney of Copake, NY, Roy Winchell (Cheryl) of Fellsmere, FL and Barbara Winchell Bledsoe of San Jose, CA; five great-grandchildren: Mercedes C. Bledsoe of San Jose, Maciek T. Winchell of Fellsmere, Liam B. Sweeney of Copake, Spencer C. Bledsoe of San Jose and Oskar E. Winchell of Fellsmere; and countless numbers of nieces and  nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by all of her brothers and sister, Joseph, Lloyd, Bronislaw, Stanley and Mary.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Hubert’s of the Lakes Episcopal Church on Route 8 in Lake Pleasant, NY across from the Hamilton County Complex. The Reverend Robert Limpert will be officiating. Internment will be immediately following the service a mile from the church at Airdwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Woodland Terrace Nursing Home Alzheimer’s Ward, 124 Norvell Bryant Hwy, Hernando, FL  34442.

Harry A. Adams Jr.
July 7, 2012

Harry A. Adams, Jr., 74, of Long Lake passed away July 7, 2012 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.
Born March 19, 1938 in Flushing, NY, he was the son of Harry and Alice Dolman Adams.
Harry worked in the home improvement business for 20 years for his brother at B&A General Contractors. He then worked for himself doing odd carpentry jobs around Long Lake.
Harry had five children with his first wife Madeline. He later married Annette Breaker.
He is survived by his wife Annette of 34 years; six children; Harry III, Madeline, Christina, Kellyann, MaryAnn and Jimmy. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, two sisters, Dorothy Lence, Alice Caruso and one brother, Robert Adams.
He was predeceased by his parents and a son, Raymond.
Harry was a member of the Long Lake Volunteer Fire Department for over 30 years and a driver for the Long Lake Rescue Squad.
Calling hours were held on Friday, July 13, 2012 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 pm at the Wesleyan Church in Long Lake.
A funeral service was held Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
Burial followed in Long Lake Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Long Lake Volunteer Fire Department.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake.

Milton F. Parslow
June 5, 2012

Milton F. Parslow, 63, of  Hidley Road, North Greenbush, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at his residence after a long illness.
Born in Troy, he was son of the late John F. Parslow and Esther Pratt Parslow. He had resided in Wynantskill all his life and was a graduate of the Averill Park schools.
Milton was the owner and operator of the family business, P&B Electric in Wynantskill .
He enjoyed spending time with his family at his camp in the Adirondacks, where his youth was spent camping, fishing and hunting with his father.
Survivors include his six siblings;  Esther Parslow Rendano, Watervliet, Ella Ruth Derbyshire, Wynantskill, Charles Irving Parslow, Bennington, Robert F. Parslow, Cohoes, Barbara Saddock, Rochester,  Peter Parslow, Rochester; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends called at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on June 7th, 2012 from 4:00- 7:00PM.
Funeral service were held June 8th, 2012 at 11AM at the funeral home with Rev. David Martin, Pastor of Hope United Methodist Church in Eagle Mills, officiating.
Inurnment was in Oakwood Cemetery Troy.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Milton F. Parslow to The Community Hospice of Rensselaer County 295 Valley View Boulevard Rensselaer, NY 12144 or a charity of one’s choice.
