Arnold (Bud) William Wamback
September 11, 2011


Bud Wamback 87 of Long Lake, NY died Sunday September 11, 2011 at home.
Born in Hudson NY to Arnold and Mary Helen Wamback. Married to Reta Stanton August 5, 1955 in Long Lake, NY.
Bud served in the US Navy from 1943-1946. He worked for NYSEG for many years before retiring.
Bud is survived by his wife, Reta, a sister Thelma Hall of Chatham, NY, a son Keith Wamback and companion Darlene, two daughters, Pamela Bradley, Judith St. Amour and (Willy) all of Long Lake and five grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stuart, Fortune, and Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake, NY.
Donations may be made to The Long Lake Rescue Squad, High Peaks Hospice or the organization of choice.
A graveside service will be held at the Long Lake cemetery on Friday, September 16th at 1:00 pm.

Allan DeLong Sr.
September 5, 2011


Allan DeLong Sr., 64, of Big Brook Road, Indian Lake, died Monday evening, September 5, 2011, after his battle against cancer.
Born July 26, 1947, in East Clarendon, VT, he was the son of the late Gordon Nelson DeLong and Helen Louise (Quimby) DeLong.
As a young man, Allan worked along with his father and some of his brothers at International Paper. He then worked as a mason for Sonny Mekeel and then for Timothy Clawson as the business switched hands. For the past 15 years, he worked for the town of Indian Lake, shared between Highway and the Parks and Recreation departments, from which he recently retired.
Allan loved the outdoors. On a nice day after work, you could always catch him with his fishing pole or puttering around with something in the front yard.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Valgene DeLong, Todd DeLong and Lionel DeLong, as well as two sisters, April Crosse and Caroline Simmons.
Survivors include his two sons, Allan DeLong Jr., of Indian Lake, and Jeremiah DeLong and his girlfriend, Ashley Montesano, of Speculator; five brothers, Randolph DeLong and Scott DeLong, both of Indian Lake, Barry DeLong of Fort Edward, Kurt DeLong of Mooers, N., and Gary DeLong and his wife, Carolyn, of Lakeland, FL; two grandchildren, Troy DeLong and Gabrielle DeLong of Speculator; and several nieces and nephews.
Per Allan’s request, there will be no services held.
