Police Report

Monday, April 08, 2013 - Updated: 11:45 AM

Wednesday, April 3, 11am: Carl H. Smith, 53, Fort Plain, was charged with possession / transportation of over 10,000 unstamped cigarettes, a Class E felony; and fifth-degree criminal tax fraud, a Class A misdemeanor. State Police made the arrest on Rt. 30 in the Town of Long Lake.

Saturday, April 6: Kathy Thornton, 44, Wells, was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Hamilton County Sheriff's Office made the arrest in the Town of Wells. She is to appear in Wells Town Court.

Saturday, April 6, 9:25pm: Karen Lamphear, 64, Long Lake, was charged with DWI - first offense and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration of more than .08 percent - first offense, both Class U misdemeanors; and driving to the left of pavement markings, an infraction.

State Police made the arrest on Rt. 28 in the Town of Long Lake.
