Friday, Aug. 31: Samuel P. Miller, 24, Indian Lake, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle while license suspended and operating an uninspected motor vehicle. Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office made the arrest in the Town of Indian Lake. Miller was arraigned in Indian Lake Town Court, where he was released to reappear Oct. 9.

Wednesday, Sept. 12, 1:35pm: Two men living in Indian Lake are facing felony charges after allegedly stealing copper wiring and a 400-pound metal valve from a house there.

Joshua J. Sawyer, 29, and Christopher J. Douglas, 30, were charged with third-degree burglary, a Class D felony; third-degree criminal mischief - property valued at over $250, a Class E felony; and petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor.

State Police made the arrests following a complaint received at 8 a.m. Both men were arraigned in Indian Lake Justice Court.

Sawyer was remanded to Hamilton County Jail without bail; he is wanted by Amsterdam Police Department. Douglas is free on bail set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond. Both are scheduled to reappear in court Oct. 9.

Thursday, Sept. 13, 9pm: Ben E. Beeman, 49, Lebanon, NY is being held without bail at Hamilton County Jail after being charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), a Class D felony; and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. State Police arrested Beeman at the Cedar River Road Sand Pit in the Town of Indian Lake.

Saturday, Sept. 15, 8:58pm: Dustin K. Traynor, 33, Long Lake, was charged with one count each of falsifying business records - making false entry, false written statement and third-degree falsely reporting an incident, all Class A misdemeanors. State Police made the arrest following a complaint made Aug. 9. Cash bail was set at $500.

Saturday, Sept. 15, 5pm: Kyle L. Shuman, 27, Delhi, was charged with assault with intent to cause serious physical injury, a Class D felony. State Police made the arrest on Rt. 28 in the Town of Indian Lake following an investigation into a complaint made at 12:50 a.m. in Indian Lake.
