Police Report - 10/05/2011

Sept. 27, 7:20am: Kyle Thomas Low, 20, Indian Lake, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree operating a motor vehicle while ability impaired by drugs, both misdemeanors; and unlawful possession of marijuana and no / insufficient tail lights after being stopped by State Police on Rt. 28 in the Town of Indian Lake.

Oct. 1, 2:35am: Ryan T. Nemeth, 29, Norwalk, Conn. was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration of more than .08 percent and failure to keep right after State Police stopped him on Rt. 28 in the Town of Inlet. He was released to a third party.

Oct. 1, 3:23am: Patrick J. Eybers, 44, West Nyack, was killed in an all-terrain vehicle accident in the Town of Indian Lake.

Eybers was traveling on a logging trail several miles from the Cedar River Road, where he was staying at a hunting camp, when he went off a curve and landed in a small stream.

Friends took him to the State Police barracks in Indian Lake, where first aid was administered and Indian Lake Volunteer Ambulance Corps summoned. He was taken to Glens Falls Hospital, where the emergency room doctor pronounced him deceased.

State Police Investigator Stephen Ansari said it appears Eybers died on the way to the hospital, according to Warren County Coroner Tim Murphy.

The autopsy showed the cause of death was head trauma. The death was ruled accidental.

• A 17-year-old from Utica has been charged with third-degree burglary in connection with the August burglary of Casey's Corner store in Piseco, according to Sheriff Karl Abrams. Abrams says the youth was released to his mother's custody and is free on bond from Oneida County stemming from the same investigation.
