Sunday, Nov. 24: State Police at Mayfield investigated an unattended death in Perkins Clearing, Town of Lake Pleasant.

John M. Skellie, 62, Queensbury, died of natural causes; he had a heart condition and suffered cardiac arrest. A member of his hunting party found him following a short morning hunt, according to State Police in Mayfield.

Hamilton County Coroner Donald Braunius pronounced Skellie dead at the scene. His body was autopsied at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville.

Tuesday, Nov. 26, 3:30 p.m.: Joshua E. Staulters, 25, Speculator, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny, both Class A misdemeanors, following a 12:40 p.m. report of a larceny from a building.

Saturday, Nov. 30, 7 p.m.: Willie F. Mack, 52, Indian Lake, was charged with one count of second-degree criminal contempt and three counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. State Police made the arrest following a complaint made at 3:49 p.m.

Monday, Dec. 2, 3 a.m.: David M. Samson, 37, Sagamore Beach, Mass., was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument. State Police made the arrest on Rt. 28 in the Town of Indian Lake.
