Not our idea

Dear Editor,

Your Oct. 24 article, “Lake Pleasant Library looking to expand,” states that the Friends of the Lake Pleasant Library wants the Town Board to endorse its plans for an addition.

This is incorrect.

The library Board of Trustees asked the Town Board to endorse its proposed plans for an addition to the library.

The remainder of the article referring to the library is correct.

Richard Frisk,

Lake Pleasant Library Board of Trustees

Good times coming

Dear Editor,

The Golden Era is upon us in Hamilton County. The time has come for you to reap what you, your family and ancestors have sown for centuries.

With Oak Mountain, WYBS 96.5 and today’s announcement that $3.07 million of the state’s funds will be used to invest in broadband throughout Hamilton County, economic prosperity is certainly upon us.

From Long Lake to Benson and Arietta to Inlet (through Ohio / Old Forge or through Speculator / Indian Lake / Blue Mountain Lake / Raquette Lake), I have seen with my own eyes bountiful reasons for excitement.

Get ready Hamilton County. The Golden Era is upon us.

Jamie Waller Jr.
