This fun-packed weekend begins Friday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. with a Nursery Rhymes in Chilly Times parade. Winning floats will be announced after it ends.
The parade starts at Town Hall and finishes in the market parking lot. Float entry forms are available at Town Hall and Indian Lake Chamber of Commerce.
Friday evening the Junior Girl Scouts will hold a Pasta Dinner at the American Legion Hall from 5-8 p.m. and Indian Lake Theater will show a movie at 7:30 p.m.
Start Saturday with a hearty breakfast at Indian Lake Fire Hall, served up by the firemen and auxiliary of Indian Lake Volunteer Fire Department from 7-10 a.m. Breakfast will be repeated Sunday from 7-11 a.m.
Saturday will also see the Snowarriors Annual Poker Run, the chamber of commerce’s Winter Wonderland Craft Show at Indian Lake Central School and the Legion Hall on Route 28/30 (Sunday too) and the Friends of the Library Book & Cookie Sale at Town Hall on Pelon Road.
Kids games and activities are planned for the Ski Hut on Tower Hill off Rt. 30.
Returning for the second year is the American Legion Dessert Parlor at the Indian Lake Meal Site.
Finish the evening with a Roast Beef Dinner at the IL United Methodist Church or a movie at Indian Lake Theater.
Don’t forget the Tricky Tray at Indian Lake Central School Gymnasium. It has been taking place annually for over 30 years.
The Make Your Own Cardboard & Duct Tape Sled Races will return to the Ski Hill Sunday at 1 p.m. with the The Joey D. Magic Show following in the Ski Hut.
Try Horseshoes On Snow at the Ski Hut from 3:30-5 p.m.
There will be a bonfire at the Ski Hut and a Torch Run and fireworks on Tower Hill starting at 6:30 p.m. to wrap up the weekend.
Indian Lake offers free skating on its regulation size skating rink and sliding all weekend and during President’s Week, weather permitting, from 12-4 and 6-9 p.m.
