'Help the Arts Center Take its Shows on the Road' is raising money for ALCA to help pay for new tires for its van. As a nonprofit, ALCA relies on its supporters when it comes time for maintenance.
It needs new tires for its van; traveling the 2,000 square miles of the Adirondacks takes a toll on equipment. Gearing up for its 2014 ADK Summer Playhouse, ALCA plans to travel five productions to 17 towns for a total of 31 performances.
Replacing these tires will ensure ALCA's ability to travel to under-served Adirondack communities. Donations will help ALCA fulfill its mission to be a leading presenter, producer and educator in the Adirondacks.
"The van is crucial piece of equipment; it helps fulfill our mission of bringing our programs to underserved communities in the Adirondacks," ALCA Executive Director Alex Harris says.
The project will be live at adirondackgives.org for 45 days. The goal is to raise $800.
