LAKE PLEASANT -- The hospitality industry is one of the largest employers in the county.
With that in mind the Hamilton County Workforce Investment Council is teaming up with the Hamilton County Tourism and Economic Development office to hold a Hospitality Conference Thursday, May 8, at Oak Mountain Ski Center in Speculator from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Plans for the conference were laid out by Bill Murphy, secretary of the Indian Lake Chamber of Commerce, during the Monday, April 8, Workforce meeting.
Murphy said the conference is targeting owners and employees of lodging and food establishments. The event will include presenters offering information on compensation and medical insurance, NYS Department of Labor employment programs, WIC employment programs, NYS Department of Health regulations, Frontier Communications products and programs, using social media to grow a business and seminars on using customer engagement to increase repeat business.
Anyone interested in attending should RSVP to the Indian Lake Chamber of Commerce either by phone at (518) 648-5112 or email at email@example.com
