WELLS - An agreement for the 2013-2014 School Year between the Wells Central School Board of Education and the WCS Support Staff includes a 3 percent salary increase for employees not covered by a bargaining unit.

Under the agreement there will be a health insurance rate increase of 2.5 percent for the Preferred Provider Organization-B health insurance plan.

Also, all new support staff hired July 1 or later will pay 10 percent of their health insurance premium and will have a cap on dental reimbursement of $400 for single and $1,000 for family plans.

One of the first to be affected by the change is Jessica Damphier, who has been appointed to a six-month probationary position as full-time, year-round attendance clerk / guidance secretary effective July 1. She replaces Deborah Taylor, who retired.

In other business, the school district's insurance carrier has valued the buildings at $8,006,235 and their contents at $1,673,845 for a total of $9,680,080.
