Ruth L. Hodge, 95, of Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, formerly of Brentwood, PA, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the Masonic Healthcare Center.
Born in Bloomville, OH, she was the daughter of the late Willis K. and Avis (Brown) Link. She was the wife of the late Edwin S. Hodge who died in 1989.
Ruth was a member of Baldwin Community United Methodist Church, Pittsburgh, Order of Eastern Star Chapter 407, Elizabethtown and Amaranth. She was a graduate of Shippensburg University where she earned a BA in Elementary Education.
Ruth is survived by three children: Jessica Hodge (Stephen), Folsom, CA; William B. Hodge (Stewart) Holliston, MA and Kellen E. Hodge (Susan), Brownsville, PA; a grandson Jeremy K. Hodge; great grandson Jackson Jeremy Hodge; a brother W. Kellen Link, Sarasota, FL and a sister Martha Jane Spain, Hamilton, OH.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, Masonic Village, Elizabethtown at 2:00 PM with the family receiving friends at 1:00 PM and on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Baldwin Community United Methodist Church, 5001 Baptist Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236 at 2:00 PM with the family receiving friends at 1:00 PM. There will be no viewing.
Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Piseco Historical Society or to the Rowland-Hodge Scholarship Fund, Shippensburg University of PA or to Baldwin Community United Methodist Church.

Dr. O.B. Conaway Jr., age 94 of Brecksville. Born in Middlebourne, West Virginia, and passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012.
Loving father of Charles Orrin Conaway and Margaret “Meg” Conaway-Totork (Michael); dear grandfather of Rachael and Alexander Orrin Conaway and Patricia Torok Longoria; great grandfather of Lyla Grace Conaway; brother of the late Helen; son of the late Orrin Bryte and Maude (nee Carpenter) Conaway.
Dr. Conaway was a scholar, an amateur historian and a gentleman who always conducted himself with honor and dignity.
Dr. Conaway’s distinguished career included positions as: Benedum professor of American Government at WVU; Chairman of the Department of Political Science at WVU; Professor at Syracuse, New York and Boston Universities; Dean of the Graduate School of Public Affairs at SUNY; Dean of the Albany, N.Y. Graduate School of Public Administration; consultant to the Governments of Israel, Egypt, Pakistan, Ceylon, Columbia and Ireland; the Federal Government and several states; and, author, co-author, editor and contributor.
Our father was exceptionally loving and caring and a superlative role-model.
He was an avid sportsman, who loved bird hunting, fishing and golf and was renowned for his story-telling ability.
Dr. Conaway loved the Adirondacks and was a seasonal resident of Speculator since 1957.
Dr. O.B. Conaway, Jr. will be dearly missed by family and friends.
A private family burial was held at the Beechwood Cemetery in Alma, WV.
