Donnelly elected to town board

LONG LAKE - There will be at least one new face on the Long Lake Town Council in January: Thomas L. Donnelly, who led the four candidates vying for two seats with 266 votes.

He was followed by incumbent Councilman Dean H. Pohl with 178, John W. Adams with 157 and incumbent Councilman Lew A. Plumley with 140.

Plumley has been a councilman for 24 years, since 1990. Absentee ballots could change the order of finish for the last three. Sixty-two were issued. They were to be counted yesterday, Nov. 12.

Town Clerk / Tax Collector Dixie Lee LeBlanc took 273 votes to challenger Colleen E. Smith's 125.

Supervisor Clark J. Seaman and Superintendent of Highways Charles H. Farr II ran unchallenged for re-election, garnering 282 and 325 votes respectively.
