Something for everyone

Monday, March 03, 2014 - Updated: 7:08 PM

Dear Editor,

What fun, and something for everyone! That is what anyone who attended any of the huge array of events at the Indian Lake SnoCade expressed over and over.

There was everything from a serious look at how an ice rescue is carried out, perhaps saving a life, to fun and games for over 60 children as The Adirondack Museum opened its doors in welcome.

There were hikes, snow sled rides and a very popular Star Gazing program. There was unrestrained laughter as the cast of "Forever SnoCade" poked fun at all of us hearty souls who choose to live in this very special place. The list goes on and on.

The dedicated and tireless organizers and volunteers of this special break time, in what has turned out to be an "old-fashioned Adirondack winter," are to be congratulated and given a huge thank you for all their efforts in making the Indian Lake SnoCade a tremendous success.
