School supplies needed

Sunday, August 24, 2014 - Updated: 5:09 PM

Dear Editor,

School resumes shortly for all our area youngsters, and with that comes the need for back-to-school supplies.

You can help our kids have a great start this upcoming school year. Warren - Hamilton County Community Action is asking for your help in donating school supplies for our local students.

The items in highest demand for this school year are book covers, index cards, paper, pens / pencils, markers / highlighters, folders (pocket and accordion) and protractors.

As always, other donations are also appreciated.

Warren - Hamilton County Community Action is also accepting donations of lightly used kids' clothing and new undergarments (for all ages). Winter is just around the corner and donations of winter clothing such as jackets, hats, gloves, socks, snow pants and other warm items are welcome.

Foods like soups and canned tuna fish make great donations too.

Donations can be dropped off at Warren - Hamilton County Community Action, 726 Main St., Indian Lake, NY 12842. You may also contact the office via telephone at (518) 648-5911. Thank you all so much for your continued support.
