To each his own

Dear Cris,

Christmas: Yes, wishing one 'Happy Holidays' is a friendly greeting; however, I prefer 'Merry Christmas' at this time of year... and 'Happy Easter' on Easter. To each his own.

Christmas is a Happy Holiday because, as we read in His book, the Bible, Luke 2:11: "Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord."

An interesting aside to that scripture... He is risen, not He was, and even until this day you never hear Him referred to as "the late" this or that. He was and is alive today and He is my Savior. I hope He is yours.

I was privileged to have a visit from some of our school youngsters, who were kind enough to bring a basket of cookies, fruit and maple syrup. How very fortunate we are to live in this beautiful town and village.

A very Merry Christmas, and a very Happy and Healthy New Year to all! I hope you will find your way to the church of your choice this Christmas season, and be sure to thank Him for His many answers to your prayers.
