Rescuers practice ice drill

Even after days of below zero temps, not all sections of the lakes are equally frozen solid and accidents do happen. In anticipation of such an accident taking place, DEC Ranger David Kallen and members of the Raquette Lake Fire and Ambulance department took part in a cold water rescue drill on Raquette Lake next to the WW Durant on Sunday, Jan. 20.
