Ready for winter rescues

Indian Lake Volunteer Fire Department is ready to rescue the next injured snowmobiler, thanks to the purchase of a new snowmobile and rescue sled by the district's Board of Fire Commissioners and a transport trailer purchased with donations to the fire department. Hopefully that won't be until next winter. Here, Chief Paul Strain Jr. sits on the new snowmobile with the new rescue sled hooked up behind. The new trailer for the snowmobile and sled, also shown, will be used to transport all the rescue equipment to the trailhead where rescue operations will begin.
