OLD FORGE—Escape winter and warm up with homemade chili at View. On Tuesday, February 19, View will hold the 7th Annual Chili Bowl Luncheon from 11:30 am - 2 pm.

Lunch includes meat or vegetarian chili with all the fixings, garlic bread, dessert, beverages and live entertainment including saxophone and keyboard music.

Chili is served in handmade bowls created by talented regional and View potters.

You will have the opportunity to choose from hundreds of artistic and unique bowls.

Many of the bowls were created in View’s pottery studio by artists participating in Views Independent Pottery program.

View potters include Megan Crimmins, Carolyn Gaylord, Sue Girtler, Sherry Grimm, Littlepage Hannah, Jennifer Potter Hayes, Marie Imundo, Ruth McKenna, Deb Munyan, Bette Rintrona, Chris Teesdale, and Nancy Venetz.

Regional potters that have donated bowls include Art Baird, Jean Card, Vincent Clemente, Julie Dean, Barbara Fry, Dennis DeStefanis, Julie Hinsdill, Cindy Panella, and Greg Rudd.

Prices will range between $18 - $25 depending on the bowl you choose to take home, or you can just have lunch for $10.

Admission to View exhibitions is included when you attend the Chili Bowl Luncheon.

Exhibitions include “The Wild Life”. This event would not be possible without the overwhelming support and generous donations of the following community businesses: Adirondack League Club, Billy’s Restaurant, Five Corners Cafe, Hard Times, Knotty Pine, Mountainside Smoke House & Grill, Northwoods Inn, Old Barn, The Old Mill, Otter Lake Station, Seasons Cafe, Steak House, and Walt’s Diner.

The View is a multi-arts center located at 3273 State Rt. 28 in Old Forge, NY. To learn more about View programming visit www.ViewArts.org or call  315-369-6411.
