Police Report -- 02/12/2014

Thursday, Jan. 30, 2:15 p.m.: Two people were injured in a one-car accident on Rt. 8 in the Town of Morehouse, one mile east of Technidock.

Debra J. Morrissette, 53, Clark Mills, was westbound when her 2007 Hyundai sedan left the west side of the road, went down an embankment and hit a culvert. Morrissette told Deputy Alex Stuart she lost consciousness while driving.

Front seat passenger Kourtney L. Bolton, 25, was asleep. She and Morrissette were transported to St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Utica with neck pain.

A third passenger, Noah J. Bennett, 5, was not hurt.

Monday, Feb. 3, 11:50 a.m.: James G. Gleason, 16, Schenectady, was charged with three counts of second-degree burglary of a dwelling, a Class C felony, by State Police. The burglaries include two of several reported in the Town of Hope Jan. 18 and one of two reported in the Town of Benson Jan. 19. He is being held in Fulton County Jail, Johnstown.

Tuesday, Feb. 4, 1:38 p.m.: Tiffany M. Ford, 20, Schenectady, was charged with one count of second-degree burglary of a dwelling, a Class C felony, by State Police. The burglary was one of two reported in the Town of Benson Jan. 19. She is being held in Fulton County Jail, Johnstown.

Tuesday, Feb. 4, 1:46 p.m.: Christopher R. Polomie, 22, Schenectady, was charged with one count of second-degree burglary of a dwelling, a Class C felony, by State Police. The burglary was one of two reported in the Town of Benson Jan. 19. He is being held in Fulton County Jail, Johnstown.

Friday, Feb. 7: Kyle Riedman, 24, Old Forge, was killed in a snowmobiling accident on Fourth Lake in the Town of Webb. Riedman was westbound on the lake when he hit an earth embankment at a high rate of speed, according to Town of Webb Police Department Chief John Russell. Russell said the sled and Riedman became airborne and hit a tree.

Children who were snowmobiling to school found Riedman’s body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
