EVANGELINE WELLS

of Indian Lake has been inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi honor society. She was initiated at Plattsburgh State University.

Phi Kappa is the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Membership is by invitation and requires nomination and approval by a chapter.~

ONNA LEE BOYA

of Indian Lake is expected to be among the graduates at Herkimer County Community College's 46th annual commencement Friday, May 16.

Boya is majoring in Medical Coding / Transcriptionist Certificate.

Herkimer College is a unit of the State University of New York located in Herkimer, about 20 miles east of Utica. With an enrollment of approximately 3,200 students, HCCC offers more than 40 associate degree and certificate programs. For more information visit www.herkimer.edu.

EVA JEAN ANDERSSON

of Indian Lake has completed two internship placements in the Spring 2014 semester at State University of New York at Potsdam.

Andersson interned with Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley in Potsdam and at Renewal House in Canton.

SUNY Potsdam's internship program places students with employers whose interests align with their studies. Each student has a faculty sponsor, and earns between one and 12 credits toward their degree requirements for successfully completing the internship.
