LONG LAKE -- It was a breezy but mild evening Thursday, May 15, when the Long Lake Central School held Community Night.

It began with the Long Lake Lions Club serving over 140 people before the start of the night's events.

Lions members cooked. The food and supplies were donated by the Parent Teacher Student Organization, Stewart's Shops, the Long Lake Faculty Association, Adirondack Hotel, Cyber Creek Cafe, Ali Baba's Liquor & Wine, the Spaghetti Jar Fund and Long Lake Lions Club.

Activities and workshops included Falconry in the Modern World with Stephanie Hample; Zumba with Tammi Salzano; Guide Reflections with Becky Pelton and Wayne Failing; Fishy Business with Butch Ringelspaugh; It Happened in Long Lake with the Long Lake Historical Society; Sexting in Hamilton County; The Cultures of Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and the French Colonial Legacy; and Influence in Indochina with LLCS French students; a jam session hosted by LLCS Music Teacher George Biffer; and a coffee and dessert area hosted by Sharyn Penrose.

The turnout was great and everyone had a fun time.
