Monday, May 26, 2014 - Updated: 10:55 PM

INDIAN LAKE -- The Country Christmas Tour Committee has been making plans for the annual event held Thanksgiving Weekend throughout the hamlets of Indian Lake, Blue Mt. Lake and Sabael.

It is a self-guided tour featuring artisans, crafters and organizations throughout the area that make and sell a variety of gift items. They have adopted the theme "Made in the Adirondacks" for their wares.

Examples are birch bark / twig pieces, Adirondack furniture, balsam items, holiday arrangements and wreaths, decorations, Tole and other decorative painted items, quilts, throws, table runners, hand-spun yarn and knitted / crocheted items from local alpacas, handmade jewelry, toys and so much more.

During CCT local businesses will feature Adirondack-themed items and home-based businesses selling makeup, candles, etc.

Rounding out the weekend are a children's workshop, demonstrations, entertainment and more. Mark calendars now for Nov. 28 and 29 and come do the Country Christmas Tour.
