The first Judee Lauria Memorial 5K Run / Walk Saturday, May 17, organized by the eighth grade class at Lake Pleasant Central School in Speculator, was the third such event to be held in her name. Lauria, who taught at the school, died soon after last year's fund-raiser. Some 200 people signed up this year to raise funds for the C.R. Wood Cancer Center in Glens Falls.
