Kayla Yuckel and Molly Rodriguez are students of the year

OLD FORGE - The Kiwanis Club of the Central Adirondacks is pleased to announce that, as a result of a partnership with The Town of Webb Police Benevolent Association, there will be two Students of the Year for 2013.

Kayla Yuckel of Old Forge, Student of the Month for September 2012, and Molly Rodriguez of Old Forge, Student of the Month for March 2013, have been chosen as Students of the Year for 2013.

Kayla is the Kiwanis Student of the Year and Molly is the Town of Webb Police Benevolent Association Student of the Year.

Kayla is the daughter of Randy and Tina Yuckel of Old Forge and Molly the daughter of Jorge and Linda Rodriguez of Old Forge. Kayla and Molly are seniors at Town of Webb Union Free School in Old Forge.

Kayla and Molly will each receive an award certificate and a $500 scholarship to be used for further education.

"The PBA is very pleased to partner with Kiwanis to provide scholarships for two very deserving students," PBA President Kevin Birtle said.

Kayla and Molly and their parents will be invited to the Monday, June 10, Kiwanis Recognition Event at the North Woods Inn. The public is invited. Reservations can be made at 369-6777.
