ALBANY -- One doesn't have to travel far to enjoy a great vacation on the cheap. Save money by camping at one of the many state campgrounds in Hamilton County.

New York state has some of the nation's largest and most beautiful campgrounds and Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced the Early Summer Camping Special for 112 state campgrounds across New York.

The special offer includes $5 per night off regular rates now through June 26 for campers making reservations using the promo code EARLYCAMP14.

The deal covers virtually all campgrounds operated by New York State Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and the Department of Environmental Conservation in nearly every region.
