Golden Anniversary Diane and Ray Terrell

INLET -- A 50th wedding anniversary is being celebrated at the Birches for the third time in 61 years.

It began in 1953 with the golden anniversary of Emma and Roy Rogers, Inlet's pioneers and former owners of the Neodak Hotel. Thirty years later, in 1983, their daughter Ella and her husband Walter Moran enjoyed a family gathering at the Birches, commemorating their love that began in the Adirondacks.

This year the Birches family will gather here to celebrate its third golden milestone. Diane Moran, granddaughter of Emma and Roy Rogers, married Ray Tyrrell of Suffern June 20, 1964. Diane and Ray have four children and 13 grandchildren. Summer on Fourth Lake has always been the meeting place for the Tyrrell family and their cousins.

The legacy of love for family and the Birches is a gift handed down by these three generations, Emma and Roy Rogers, Walter and  Ella Moran and Diane and Ray Terrell.
