Library goes to summer hours

Friday, June 28, 2013 - Updated: 11:48 PM

INLET - Inlet Public Library has switched to its summer hours. The library is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. These hours will continue until Aug. 30.

Director Lynn Durkin says  the library has four computers the public can use, and of course people can bring their own computers and use the library’s Wi-Fi. The service is free, but donations are always welcome.

The library will hold story hour Friday mornings at 10:30 a.m. To volunteer to read to children contact Durkin or Assistant Director Debbie Haynes. Stop in or call the library at (315) 357-6494.

The library can always use volunteers. Duties would include shelving books, checking the shelves to make sure the books are in order and general work around the library.

The library has many used books it will continue selling throughout the summer. It keeps up with The New York Times bestseller list and can order almost any book from Southern Adirondack Library System if a copy is not on hand.
