Sunday, July 13, 2014 - Updated: 3:00 PM

INDIAN LAKE -- Visitors at the July 19 Indian Lake Community Farmers Market will have opportunities to chat one-on-one with gardening expert Nancy Welch, director of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Hamilton County, about "Vegetable Gardening in the ADKs."

In addition, Jamie Rogers, an energy program coordinator with Green Jobs Green NY Home Performance Energy Star Program of the Adirondack North County Association, will be on hand to share information on how to save money on energy bills, solve the problems that make buildings drafty and cold and on programs that offer financial assistance for energy projects.

The gardening and energy programs will be held at the farmers market Saturday, July 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the intersection of state routes 28 and 30 in the hamlet of Indian Lake. For more information call Brenda Valentine at 648-5636.
